WAIRARAPA GREYHOUND RACING CLUB

Solway Park is the sole remaining grass racing surface for the greyhound Code in this country and is an idyllic location.  Traditionally a popular venue for the educating and trailling of young greyhounds, the Club also hosts a number of 'picnic' type race meetings each season with much emphasis placed on family attendance and interaction with attendees.

RACE DAYS
The club races on three occasions in the 2008-2009 season.

Close with the NZGRA per On Track publication race schedules. 

KENNELLING TIMES
Kennels are open 120 minutes prior to the first race. Kennel times can vary depending on the length of race programs and the number of races being run so check with the club if in doubt.

Track Distances
Racing is conducted for all grades over 290m, 545m, 763m and 545m (h)

Trial Information
Qualifying Trials are during the week at 10am when the track is available. Bookings for qualifying trials are to be made with the Club Secretary. 

Catering 
Catering for all race meetings is provided with a variety of both hot and cold takeaway food and drinks available.  Additional catering can be arranged for Groups if pre-arranged with the Club Secretary.
